Julianne Hough is a singer, actress and dancer - in other words a true triple-threat in the entertainment industry. In 2008, her self-titled debut country album hit the Billboard Country charts at #1 with the first two singles "That Song in My Head" and "My Hallelujah Song" earning her two 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards for Top New Female Vocalist and Top New Artist. She has also become a household name to millions of fans from ABC’s hit show "Dancing with the Stars." Opening for Julianne is Megan Mullins, a singer/songwriter whose style melds bluegrass, classical, Celtic and contemporary country.

Solas has been loudly proclaimed as the most popular, influential and exciting Celtic band to ever emerge from the United States. The Washington Post proclaimed them as one of the “world’s finest Celtic-folk ensembles.” Solas members play traditional Irish music with a varying mix of Celtic traditional, folk and country melodies, bluesy sometimes jazz-inspired improvisations and global rhythms. “Solas has electrified crowds everywhere it has played… bearing all the marks of greatness.” ~The Wall Street Journal. Opening for Solas is the Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance. They are one of the most recognizable and respected names in the world of Irish dance. Springfield Symphony’s outstanding concertmaster Sujean Kim will take us to new heights with Dvorak’s Violin Concerto in A minor. Her exciting renditions of the music are always a highlight of the symphony season. Rounding out the program is one of Beethoven most popular works, his Pastorale Symphony. Spend a glorious night at the ballet with the world-renowned Russian National Ballet Theatre (directed by Elena Radchenko). Founded in Moscow during the transitional period of Perestroika in the late 1980s, the company (then titled The Soviet National Ballet) incorporates graduates of the great choreographic schools of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Perm, with dancers from the upper ranks of the great ballet companies of Russia, Kiev and Warsaw. Thrill to their breathtaking artistry as these talented dancers perform the poetic Chopiniana (based on Frederic Chopin’s Seventh Waltz) along with Romeo and Juliet, passionately staged to the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and presented with a sense of true Russian warmth and pride!
