Our annual Baroque offering brings local talent Trudy Faber back to center stage with an uplifting organ work of Handel. Professor Faber always delights SSO audiences, and we mark the end of an era at Wittenberg University with this performance. Great works by Vivaldi, Telemann and the immortal Johann Sebastian Bach round out this concert offering.

Sutton’s selections are drawn from her critically-acclaimed debut solo album Wish and from the Broadway roles that have helped make her famous, such as Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she received the 2002 Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Astaire Awards for her performance as “Millie Dillmount,” The Drowsy Chaperone, Young Frankenstein, Little Women: The Musical, and Shrek: The Musical, for which she was honored with Tony and Drama Desk nominations and the Outer Critics Circle Award. Accompanied by Broadway Musical Director Michael Rafter, it’s a sparkling evening of the best of Broadway, performed by one of the Great White Way’s brightest young stars!

A chance meeting in the Baja coastal town of La Mision melded the talents of two stellar musicians known for their fiery performances. “The Fiddler,” Alex DePue, who has a background in classical violin and fiddling and guitar virtuoso and Miguel De Hoyos, master of South American, Spanish and 16th century Baroque arrangements are returning to Clark State! They have been playing together for a short time but it seems like they have been playing together for decades. With resonating and captivating brilliance, listen live as DePue and De Hoyos merge two different cultures and beautifully skillful techniques.
